Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 came into force all over India recently. The act gives citizenship to minority refuges who are religiously prosecuted, from three countries Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Over the years, the minorities in these three countries were subjected to continuous prosecution, and the population percentage of minorities are in rapid decline. Leaders from Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru to Manmohan Singh kept promising the prosecuted people will be given Indian Citizenship. But no Government had political Will to do so. Present Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi based the bill in Parliament with absolute majority.

After the bill is passed, opposition kept peddling brash perpetual lie and instilled fear among Indian minorities and triggered violence and riots across the country. Similar Anti-CAA rally was organised at Kolkata, A Bangladeshi journalist, who is visiting Kolkata this week, was seen participating in Anti-CAA rally in the West Bengal capital. Md Noor Alam Sk, a journalist with Bangladeshi media house Unique News 24, was photographed holding a poster saying ‘Modi Go Back'. He has posted the photo in his FB profile

As per his Facebook profile, Noor Alam lives in Mongla, Bagerhat in Bangladesh.

These type of incidents occurred several times, visitors from Bangladesh has participated in several political events. It is disgusting to note that State CM Mamta Banerjee is utilising her full energy in opposing Centre and Modi.
