A day after India’s strong counter to Pakistan in United Nations Human rights Council, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who has had contacts with the heads of both India and Pakistan, had made a statement that UN won’t make any interference in the Kashmir issue.

Antonio
Guterres met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the G7 Summit last
month in France and also had conversations with Pakistan's Foreign Minister
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, as said by United Nation’s chief spokesperson Stephane
Dujarric.

Dujarric
was responding to a question on whether United Nations General Secretary Guterres
would act as a mediator between India and Pakistan on Kashmir issue during the
UN General Assembly session later this month, where both Indian Prime Minister
Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan would address the general assembly
and for this Dujarric told that United Nations can’t interfere in Kashmir issue
and it should be solved bilaterally by India and Pakistan.

India
gave a clear clarification that Kashmir issue is an internal matter and there
is no need for a third-party interference to solve the issue.

After
the scrapping of article 370, Pakistan downgraded its diplomatic relations, expelled
the Indian high commissioner and also cut the trade ties with India. India has clearly
conveyed it to the international community that the scrapping of Article 370
was India’s internal matter and also adviced Pakistan to accept the real
picture.
