Union Home Minister of State Kishan Reddy said that the
government will restore and reopen 50,000 temples in Jammu & Kashmir that
were earlier destroyed. He also talked about elections in the rally where he
said that the elections will be conducted in the valley phase by phase only
after normalcy returns to the valley.
Kishan Reddy said the Center is very much aware about these temples that were destroyed when the Kashmiri Pundits were driven out of the valley. He told that a survey will be done about these temples and will be restored.
Talking about elections, Kishan Reddy said that Assembly
elections will be soon conducted in the valley, as soon s the valley regains normalcy.
He told that they have conducted sarpanch elections with great success and now block
development council elections will be conducted by November.
Kishan Reddy also told that the Union Government has already
created a committee to survey schools in the Valley and also told that efforts
are being undertaken to reopen the schools soon. He also said that the government
also has plans to conduct a special recruitment drive for Kashmiri youths in
its departments and the three departments of Defense and gave an assurance that the central government will embark on
market intervention for apple growers and ensure 70% profit for farmers.
