The convicts of Nirbhaya case are getting lucky with each passing day and may get away likely with this hopeless legal system, which seems to be working favorably for the criminals. Every time there's a hearing, a convicts keeps filing for a mercy plea and the execution date is postponed indefinitely. There is a high chance that even this March 20, the death row convicts might seem to get lucky again. If these criminals are not hanged by the end of this year 2020, then every women should think twice before coming to India or wanting to continue living in India.

Why are the majority of the people living in India are insensitive when it comes to heinous crimes like rape and murder but sensitive to issues pertaining to any religion? Why is the human rights commission insensitive towards the rape victims but are always in favour of the rights for criminals in spite of all the overwhelming evidences? Why are even the lawyers getting dirty to forward their own career by supporting these criminals? Why are these corrupted politicians being insensitive towards rape victims and crimes? Why is this judiciary system so unfavorable to the victims?

The country's judiciary system has headed for a crash the day when the evidences were reported against the seven accused (out of which one committed suicide in Tihar jail), yet the rest of them are still alive, though proven guilty. When the juvenile was released unharmed, it disgusted me to the core that this criminal has actually been able to exploit the loophole in the system, and god knows what he is up to later. But then, the laws were modified by the judiciary system and from now on the criminal will not be considered juvenile if he or she is above 16 years old. But the battle for Nirbhaya case is still on. Why is this execution process very time consuming, though the criminals are proven guilty of the act? Why is our criminal judiciary system and civil judiciary system not reformed for decades, and not to mention about the piled up pending cases even in the special courts? The curative petitions and the mercy plea takes months to complete the process. That is why even if the special courts are constituted, it again loses its significance amidst this rotten system. Unless and until, the Supreme Court initiates reforms after analysing the judiciary system of foreign nations and replicate them in our land expeditiously, things won't improve. Also this is not a one man show, it takes painstakingly himalayan efforts to transform what has been followed for decades.

The wheels of justice shouldn't be moving at excruciatingly slow pace, because justice delayed is justice denied.
