Former
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his son Nara Lokesh and many
other Telugu Desam party leaders are put under house arrest because of party’s
call for protest march on Wednesday. TDP alleges ruling party YSR Congress for
increasing attack on TDP cadres and decided to take out the protest march to
condemn this.

Section
144 has been imposed in places like Narasaraopeta, Sattenapalle, Palnadu and
Gurajala. With the Telugu Desam party cadres not given permission to protest, TDP
Chief Chandrababu Naidu has called for a 12-hour hunger strike across the state.

As
Section 30 of Police act and Section 144 are under place, Director General of
Police Gowtham Sawang said that no protest march could be staged in the regions
where restrictions are enforced.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu stated that his party would not back
away from the protest march to highlight the “excesses” committed on Telugu
Desam part cadres by the YSRCP leaders. Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh,
who is also TDP’s general secretary, had posted a tweet that the struggle would
continue till justice is given to the victims of violence perpetrated by the
YSRCP. Telugu Desam party had made allegations that eight party workers had
been killed because of attack by YSRCP leaders.
