Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy inaugrates Tamil Educational Television Channel

Tamilnadu Government has decided to start an educational television channel to telecast knowledge based shows for the students. The work to start this has been going on for a year. Academic Television Office and Studio is located on the 10th floor of the Anna Centenary Library, Chennai. As the works regarding the launch of this television channel is over, the channel is formally launched today.


Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy inaugurated the official broadcast of Educational Television Channel at the Anna Centenary Library. Various programs will be shown on this educational television channel to benefit school students. Various programs are such as educator discussions, entrance exams tips, interviews with new lecturers, applying for scholarships, student innovations will also be shown.In addition, employment news and self-employment programs are to be broadcast.


It has been announced that educational television will be watched on government cable TV Channel No.200. Measures have been taken to broadcast educational television in schools and hence steps are taken to provide cable TV connection in government schools. It is said that the TV channel will benefit all 53,000 schools in Tamil Nadu, both government and government aided schools.


ChiAn official said that the Teachers Committee is preparing educational television programs and they have also invited academics and writers to present the programs.
