Dr. Tamilisai Soundarajan took oath as governor of Telengana

Former
Tamil Nadu BJP Chief, Tamilisai Soundararajan took oath as the first women
governor of the state of Telengana at State’s Raj Bhavan on Sunday. The oath of
office was administered to Tamilisai Soundarajan by Chief justice of Telangana
high court, Raghvendra Singh Chauhan.


Tamilisai Soundrajan
also held the post of National Seceretary of Bharathiya Janatha party along
with Tamil Nadu BJP president before her appointment as the governor of Telengana.
She was named as the governor of Telengana by the President on September 1st
.


Before, the post of
Governor of Telengana was held by ESL Narasimhan, who then demitted office. The
oath taking ceremony was graced by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar
Rao, Union minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy, Himachal Pradesh
Governor-designate and former Minister of State  for Labour and Employment under Narendra Modi
government, Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas
Reddy and along with various state ministers and officials.
