Most of the regional media in Tamil Nadu consistently spreads ideas to promote separatism in Tamil Nadu. A portion of video from a special interview given by ISRO President Shivan to a private television has gone viral in social media.

“You are a Tamil person and have come to a top position. Not just your school, college and district, the entire Tamil Nadu celebrates . What do you want to say to the people of Tamil Nadu under these circumstances? ”, asked the interviewer to ISRO president Dr. Shivan.
ISRO said, “First I want to tell you something. I am not someone divided into linguistic identities like Tamil, Malayali, Kannada. I am an Indian. We have a multi-lingual team working together in ISRO. We all work together. But I owe it to the love of my villagers, brothers and sisters. ”
