Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed and Dawood Ibrahim designated as terrorists by Indian government! US lauds India for this anti-terror act!

Modi government had amended the Unlawful Activities Prevention
Act in the recently concluded parliament session in both Lok Sabha and Rajya
Sabha. Based on this amendment, individuals can be designated as terrorists
unlike the previous amendments where only organizations can be designated as
terrorist organizations. The act also gives power to government to seize the
property of those being designated as terrorists.

Jaish-e-Mohammed head Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman
 from Lashkar-e-Taiba and the most wanted
underworld don Dawood Ibrahim are designated as terrorists through the Unlawful
Activities Prevention Amendment act.

This move by Indian government to brand these people as terrorists was lauded United States on Thursday. This move which was opposed by opposition parties such as Indian National Congress and DMK getting lauded by international countries is a setback to the opposition parties.

It should be noted that Mumbai 26/11 terror attack mastermind Hafiz
Saeed and Jaish-e-Mohammed Masood Azhar are already designated as global
terrorists by the US, UN and European Union.
