Mayawathi calls Congress a betrayer after Congress backstabs Mayawathi
Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati took
down the Congress party on Tuesday after six of MLAs from BSP in Rajasthan
switched to Congress. She said that the Congress party has once again proved
that the party is "unreliable" and "untrustworthy".
BSP had six MLAs in Rajasthan and all six of
them defected to the ruling party Indian National Congress on Monday. This
development came ahead of civic body polls and bypolls for two assembly seats.
Mayawati tweeted, "The ruling Congress
government of Rajasthan has once again broken BSP MLAs and proved that is an
unreliable and untrustworthy party".
She termed this action of Congress as a
"betrayal" because this happened when Bahujan Samaj Party was
extending outside support to the ruling Indian National Congress.
She also tweeted that, "Congress instead
of opting to put up a fight against its tougher opponents and organizations,
Congress always work to harm those parties which provides support to the
Congress. Congress is a party against SC, ST and OBC groups and have
never displayed any honesty to reservation of these classes,".
