Farmers pay Rs 55 to Rs 200 every month, depending on their age. The Central government subsidizes the amount equal to the amount paid by the farmer. After the age of 60, a monthly pension of Rs 3,000 will be paid. If the pensioner dies, half of his / her pension will be paid to their son or daughter.
Payment can be withdrawn with interest, even if it is suspended for half a year after five years. The amount can be paid in monthly installments, once in three months or in six months or annually.
