Aavin quenches thirst of policemen on duty

The state cooperative Aavin has been providing buttermilk packs of 200 ml for policemen braving the heat and standing on the roads every day. Following the request of Commissioner A.K. Viswanathan, orders for providing buttermilk have been placed for the next 15 days.
Usually, Aavin provides 5000 buttermilk packets to traffic policemen during the summer months of April, May and June at ₹5 a pack. The milk major has also been supplying these buttermilk packs with cookies, chocolates and flavoured milk to the Social Welfare Department which then provides it to various homes for special children.
Aavin started the distribution of buttermilk to policemen on Wednesday in various districts. Along with this, cookies manufactured by Aavin are also being provided.
Aavin has also been supplying milk powder, cookies and buns to institutions that have approached it.
