Uttar Pradesh finance minister stays loyal to party values. Resigned from Minister post as he crossed 75 years.

Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal, who is a senior BJP leader has been a BJP MLA for the last 25 years. He also served as Deputy Speaker in the assembly from 2003 to 2007.

He was celebrating his 75th birthday a few days ago and was greeted by many senior BJP leaders. BJP has made a decision that member should not to take on key government responsibilities including the minister posts after the member crosses his 75th year.

Many senior BJP leaders of the party have resigned from their key government posts after the age of 75. In the last Lok Sabha election, the opportunity was denied for many for the same reason. Minister Rajesh Agarwal has also resigned from his post based on the party's decision and he had sent his resignation letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that since he crossed 75 years, he decided to resign as a minister from the government.
