Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that Kumaraswamy has always seen himself as an enemy.

Leaders of the Congress party and the Janata Dal Secular (JDS) in Karnataka have been criticizing each other continuously since the time of the fall of their coalition government. Recently, former Prime Minister Deve Gowda had criticized former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for allegedly playing a role in the recent fall of HD Kumaraswamy government.

In response, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy by saying that Kumaraswamy doesn't know how to rule a state. He also stated that during the coalition regime, Kumaraswamy did not see himself as a friend but perceived him only as an enemy.
